I’ve been in need of a haircut for quite some time now. My hair has grown so long that its taken on a life of its own and it refuses to listen to me. On top of that, I’ve also been growing my beard (or at least what my genetics like to call a beard) out since November. Overall, I look more like Ron Burgundy than I do John Hamm.
So I was grateful when Kevin Conroy, West Coast Marketing Director for John Allan’s Razor Club, reached out to me and asked if I would like to try a complimentary full service treatment and shave. What better way to rejoin civilized society?
John Allan’s Razor Club is a men’s grooming salon located within the John Varvatos store in San Francisco. While the club has only been open since February of this year, John Allan’s is a national operation that’s been running since 1988 when John Allan founded his first club in New York. Since then, the club has expanded and now has clubs in Chicago, Toronto, and Beverly Hills.
On the day of my appointment, I was given a warm welcome by the San Francisco’s club’s director, Imani, who helped me out of my sports coat and into a salon robe while outlining the services that I was going to receive.
